To deepen your prayer, it is helpful to get experiences of prayer that are longer than the typical CLC meeting can provide. To get to the heart of CLC life, these ought to be done within the Ignatian spiritual tradition.
CLC in Victoria offers some opportunities to do this through formation days and weekends. Places such as the Campion Retreat Centre offer many programs.
Retreats in daily life offer an extended opportunity for deepening your prayer and for making better life decisions. These typically involve setting aside at least 15 minutes each day for prayer, and meeting with a guide once or twice a week for 3 weeks.
In 2007 CLC is helping to provide opportunities for such experience. In country Victoria, retreats are offered in conjunction with local parishes and Jesuits who are in Australia for a 'spiritual year'. This year retreats were conducted during May Shepparton, Bairnsdale, Horsham and later this year in Ballarat.
